Welcome to a new quarantine project brought to you by the RealzTenisFanz Podcast! We are excited to have the lovely Deb (@shackle52) that most of you already know from twitter to join Realz (@realztenisfanz) and Janina (@jlr78) as we break down the Harry Potter series while Andreen is locked up in Azkaban for not sharing our love of this magical world! We will be taking a literary dive into all 7 Harry Potter books in chronological order. We hope you will be an active part of this series.
In this exciting conclusion of the "stepbook", Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, we get into a direct instance of racial microaggression, we get into the characterization of Neville Longbottom and the ever present theme of the manifestation of trauma in daily lives. What of Harry's recklessness on taking his friends to the Ministry of Magic to take on Voldemort? How is power/powerful wizard/witch measured in this world? The fight within the Ministry of Magic; Dumbledore v Voldemort. We also get into the prophecy and the death of Sirius Black.

In this episode, we get into what were the elements of this book that did not work for us. What is off about this book that makes it the stepchild of the series. We get into the Delores Umbridge character in the larger context of the magical world's inadequate response to any extensional threat. How is it that the Ministry of Magic this inept at magical education? What of Hermione Jane Granger's in this entire series? How is Ron coming into his own so far in the series? The lost boys of Hagrid, Sirius and Neville. Is Sirius suffering from arrested development?

In this episode, we tackle the stepchild of the book series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This book is often cited as being the least loved, most overlooked and most complicated. We are fully invested in the political wranglings of the magical world and we are left wanting to understand how can folks be so obtuse to the obvious. We see that information, the withholding or seeking or suppressing information becomes the major theme driving this work. However, is this an attractive plot device? What about the female characterization? Hermione and her views on other female characters. What really happened to Delores Umbridge in the Forbidden Forest? All this and more in episode 11.

We are concluding the 4-episode series for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and we have come to the wild and unpredictable finale of this book. We delved into the labyrinth of the third and final task and the action in the graveyard. How does Harry manage and cope with all this trauma? Who really killed Cedric Diggory? How big is this big reveal? What is the immediate aftermath of the return of the One-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named? All this and more as we get into all the themes and subplots in this massive plot twisting book.
